The sport mode and snow mode dash/button.
I HATE how the dash light is not dimmable with the otehr dashlights. Huge *** nuclear green glow in my face at night.
And the button doesnt light up! dangit, light green fro power, orange for snow. I can see it out of corner of my eye if it was illuminated!.

I smell a mod coming..

Pictures? I honestly can't think of any sport/snow button lol. Maybe you're referring to the PWR switch near the shift gate?

I drive with my power mode on at all times. My suspension is so stiff I prefer the jerk of shift vs the slip shift of normal. The light doesnt bother me much since my RED airbag light is constantly on anyways. Thanks to my UCA slaps.

Ha ha ha! I actually fixed a dash light on my girlfriends Ford Focus with electrical tape. It a manual transmission with one of those "upshift" lights that flashes in your face every 5 seconds. I took the gauges out and found it was an LED that was hard soldered into the board. Nothing a piece of electrical tape couldn't fix!

Instead of a piece of tape, why not try a very small rectangle (2x2 or so) of window tint right over where the light is.

That way you will still be able to see the light but it wont be as bright, and wont look as terrible as having a piece of tape on your cluster...
