Default Need To Replace Bank 1 Sensor 2 P0136 For Code

I used the search box but am not finding information for my 99 LS400. I need to replace bank 1 sensor 2 and would like to use a Denso sensor. Does anyone know the correct Denso part number I need? Also does this sensor plug in under the seat or is it somewhere in the console?

Denso p/n 234-4137

amazon is probably the cheapest source on this

keep in mind that bank 1 sensor 2 is driver's side and the one closest to the tailpipe (fartherest from engine) downstream from the catalytic converter

this is the "tattletale" sensor, it doesn't affect engine performance or mileage or emissions, it just tells on you to the authorities at the emissions station!

Thanks LS Cowboy! You are certainly correct about the emissions station statement. When I unplug the old sensor, will I find the plug somewhere under the seat?Or the center console?

Check rockauto.com, they have some VERY competitive prices.

Here is a 5% discount code also.

rockauto is often cheaper than amazon, but too often their shipping charge eats that all up and then some, that coupon will help though!

THANKS ALL! Just one more question, do I need to remove the accelerator pedal to access the plug in for this sensor?

I am working on the car now and am having difficulty accessing the spot to feed through the old sensor plug through the floor. It seems as though I need to remove the accelerator pedal to get the carpet to peel back far enough to get to the spot where the rubber grommet for the sensor wire is. Do I just bend the pedal back to remove it?

Thanks for all the help guys! Got the job done yesterday! P0136 code is now gone! Back to emissions testing tomorrow. Saved a ton of money doing it myself.
