Default Can anyone help me out with my gauge cluster issue?

so while driving the other night my gauge cluster literally caught on fire (no clue how.. its never been out, looks like a short in some ribbon cable) anyway, i bought another one off ebay that looked identical and supposedly fit.. however after trying for about 30 minutes to connect the 2 middle connectors (the outsides fit perfectly) i realized that the plugs were different.. you can see in this picture where the differences are..

now my question is.. wtf is going on? the 94 cluster is totally different and supposedly all between 95 and 97 are the same? please someone help this is my daily and i HATE driving without any idea what my car is doing... i have looked at bunches online and they all have the same plugs as the new one i got.. i cant find why mine might be different?

while you are getting this fixed, this very cool free Android app will tell you your speed very accurately on the fly in real time, so you won't get a ticket!

It saved me when my ECU went bonkers from bad capacitors!

a 96 would work, but I would not be comfortable with a cluster outside of 95-96 if my car was a 95

Bet you have a 93-94 cluster. Probably that seller didn't know what he had or shipped you the wrong cluster. Hope you can get a refund.
