Default Still have a vibration at highway speeds!

I am experiencing a vibration in the car at speeds over 65. Its become an issue since I put H&R springs, 1" all around. I did an alignment, just bought new wheels so everything is balanced. Can you guys think of anything else that needs to be looked at?

tires are the most likely - and time messes them up just as much or more than mileage, so 4 year old tires that only have 5000 miles on them can be completely shot!

He started getting the vibration after the springs were installed. Same tires as before the install and nor vibration before the install.

Tires are good. When trouble shooting, we spun the tires and found a slight bend in the rim. So, I bought new wheels. (Was going to do it soon anyway but this expedited the buy). It made it somewhat better, but there is still an annoying vibration. During the install of the springs, a bolt at the bottom of the strut on the right front was seized and we had to cut it off and replace it. I dont see how the could be the source. Can anyone think of what the drop can disrupt or possibly EXPOSE a preexisting condition?

Are you 100% they did a good balance job.

Also just a thought.... They claimed your wheel was bent and then you bought new wheels? I would take this up with them. It was the same shop that did the spring install and new wheel install, right?

How many miles on car? Have any suspension bushings been serviced at all?

1. Check rotor runout as well as any play in the wheel bearings.
2. Check that the wheel hub is flat and clean.
3. Check that each lug is firm in/on the hub.
4. Verify the torque for each wheel lug.
5. The hub rings are also ok? (For any wheels that require them if this isn't a 60.1 hub bore wheel.)
6. The vibration show up when braking?
7. The shock assembly is torqued up right? The spring is properly seated?
8. Is the shifter vibrating at idle or when driving? Tranny mount and same can be said for engine mounts.

One thought that comes to mind is that during the install process, those old bushings are now in a shifted driving position. What may not have been an issue in stock trim now is. Strut bar bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, carrier bushings, any loose tolerances may show show up now.

Generally I would think wheel balance and I've seen some pretty lame jobs done. If any one wheel has 4 oz+. of weights on one side, it is pretty messed up. So that means either the tire or wheel itself needs to be checked. The wheel was road force balanced?

Are you getting the vibration from a certian side or corner of the car? If so, try switching the wheels around and see if it changes. This might or might not help but its something simple you can try if your wheels and tires are the same size.

Second this, check the centre bore of your new wheels. You might need spigot rings/centre cones.

I would have had the wheels road force balanced...but I would have ur mounts checked and also ur drive line damper
(37511-50040).......u-joints as they could be binding...and center support bearing
