neutral safety switch causing car to not start?

Update - I did not even have to check the NSS.
As a last thought to try before jacking the car up just now, I figured I should do one more easy thing first (I'm actually not as lazy as I might sound ;-) ). So I checked the 7.5A fuse for the starter in the driver's footwell fuse box, labeled ST.
Sure enough, the fuse had blown. I put the spare 7.5A fuse in there and it started right up. I'm not declaring total victory just yet, since I know fuses usually blow for a reason and that reason may still exist.
