Default starter repair on '92 LS400

I have just about finished removing all the stuff I need to service my starter with the repair kit. After removing the fuel rails, I notice that the rubber **** on the bottom of the injectors need changing. Does Toyota supply new ones or must one buy a complete set of new injectors, or, buy a good used set from one of the site members? BTW; So far, removing all the stuff to get to the starter has been relatively easy- but I am about to remove the bottom portion of the intake which is already loose. Any suggestions as to what to do about the injector rubber **** would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean. Usually there are o rings on the injectors. They can be bought on their own fairly cheap.

There is a black rubber cover over the bottom of the injector that appears bad.

there are 3 parts available for each injector sold separately, the o-ring, the grommet, and the vibration insulator, although none of these sound like what you are describing - can you post a clear pic using bright lighting?

I'll try and upload a pic tomorrow. The part in question I would describe as a boot that goes over the bottom portion of the injector shaft. There is a very small hole on the bottom of the boot to allow for the fuel spray holes. I checked the injector scematic in the repair manual that Cowboy found for me several weeks ago, and It shows both the O ring and grommet. On my injectors, neither of these items is readily visible, but could be under the black rubber boot.

Billy: Did you put the 3 pc starter repair kit on your starter with the selinod on the starter base ? My starter has the 2 long bolts on backwards from yours. The 2 bolts are under the rear large support and they are almost impossible to get to. Any idea what tool I might use to remove them? Thanks!

Jerry, I put the three pieces in the photos in it. and I dont have a clue how you would get them out the other way around, you may have to remove the actual starter from the engine.

Jerry your starter is different from mine, I looked on line and saw yours and the bolts are backward, so just take the two mounting bolts that hold the starter in, and replace it.... they are under a 100$ at autoparts warehouse.
