Default Which brand of spark plugs are best

I have a 97 LS400. Which spark plug brand is best for a Lexus? I'm looking for performance and increase in gas mileage.

Denso or NGK - might lean very very slightly to Denso - but it is practically a coin-toss

I wouldn't deviate from those two brands on an LS400

Copper core is great and inexpensive, or use their Iridiums if you don't want to fool with plugs for 100K miles, but doing plugs on the LS400 is awfully easy, so the plug life is a pretty minor consideration.

PS - never really had much luck with any Platinum plugs, regardless of maker.

Yup, NGK or Denso is factory recommended. I'm the rebel here with the platinum plugs.

factory.

I run factory rating copper plugs as I prefer the slightly better spark and don't mind changing them out every 25-30k. NGK V-powers to be exact.
