Default Painting valve covers - 1995 LS400

Gang,

How difficult is it to remove the valve covers on the LS400? I want to remove and paint them but don't wanna spend hours just getting them off. Of course I will replace the gaskets upon reassembly and use high-temp paint......just need to understand the difficulty level of removal. Thanks in advance

It's not the easiest set of valve covers to get off. A bit time consuming taking off everything. While you have them off you might as well adjust the valves to get rid of that annoying tic on cylinder #7 (I think) which most LS400s have. Be careful when you put the VCs back on, the gasket can not sit right in the back.
