1991 ls400 disable factory alarm
My Problem: My factory alarm goes off in the middle of the night randomly, never happened before but it just started. At first thought maybe cats or whatever was jumping on my car, until one day i caught it in action, and went off randomly. So now i want to disable the factory alarm.
I do have the original key with the little mini unlock/lock button on the edge of the key. Last night my friend and i tried to find the solid green wire by the kick panel to cut and ground, but there was every green wire but a solid green one. (there was a green with orange dots, green and white strips, freen and black strips, green and yellow strip, we double checked everything and no luck for this stupid solid green wire.
Not until later, we decided to take apart the steering column, and found ONE of all wires and places. a Solid green wire and right by it, was a solid red wire. (no idea what it is for, and it is nowhere near left side of kick panel, its the center by the steering column.
I have search every single post about the 1990-1993 LS400 factory alarm.
Everything about opening the door from passenger side, and finding the solid green wire and ground it. Flip the remote switch. and yes i do have the original key.
All i want to do is, disable the alarm. or at least disable the alarm sound, when it goes off.
Any idea? or any other way i can get this done.
On top of that, do you think it is better to just unplug it from the factory alarm module. Do you know where it is located for a 1991 ls400
