No deadening. I don't think it will rattle that bad. I had a 92 model with way more bass than this and it sounded good, not like a tin can. I will deaden the license plate.

The amp is not mounted yet. Its just laying in the trunk right now hooked to a second AGM battery. Keep watching the thread and I will show it mounted.

How did you deal with the amp turn-on wire?

It is hooked up to the remote wire on the back of the Jvc.

How did you power your head unit?

I used a wiring diagram and hard wired everything. It is a lot easier than you'd think.
Haha, I'm keepin' it locked. By "hard wired", do you mean you reused a 12V line, or you ran a direct connection to the battery?

No! There is a plug that comes out of the factory radio. There are 3 plugs, but you only work off of one plug. I already showed how I hard wired in an earlier pic. Use the plug that has all of the colors listed below.

Battery BLUE/YELLOW (+) RADIO HARNESS
Accesory GRAY (+) RADIO HARNESS
Ground BROWN (-) RADIO HARNESS
Illumination GREEN (+) RADIO HARNESS
Power Antenna BLACK/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS

You strip the wire a little or use quick connects. This is not the plug but you do the same thing with the radio factory plug.
-Strip wire with blade
-Wrap the yellow wire coming from the double din around the BLUE/YELLOW wire on the factory plug and wrap it very tight with electrical tape.
-Gray goes to the red double din wire
-Brown goes to the black double din wire. There are 2 brown wires, use the one on the end of the plug
-Green goes to the orange/white double din wire
-BLACK/RED goes to whatever double din wire is labeled power antenna

If you still don't understand take it to a shop!

Ohhhh, okay. Thank for that little bit with the pictures. Which wiring diagram have you been using and which year LS do you have? I noticed that you don't have the integrated clock in your HVAC which is characteristic of the '95-'97 model years.

l have the 97 model. I don't know if there is a different diagram or if they make a wire harness kit for your car?

Ah, alright. As my signature states, I've got a '99 The wiring differs a bit from your '97. Reason I was asking is so I could find a wiring diagram for "your" car and cross-reference the wires for the wiring diagram of "my" car.

*EDIT* - Those wires you listed don't seem to change with my car. They're still the same colors and thank you very much for that heads up!
