Default Alternator Wiring--Female pin colors to Male alternator plug(SOLVED)

I have been searching the internet and forums all morning to no avail...

I have a 1993 lexus ls400

I will pay someone 20 bucks through paypal if you can help me.

I am in the middle of replacing my alternator and the female plug from my car that attaches to the alternator broke and crumbled. I got a new plug already HOWEVER the wires on the new plug are a different color. So I need to know what terminal on the alternator each of the 3 different colored plugs from my car go to.

The thickest one is white with a green stripe, the other two are solid yellow and black with a yellow stripe.

PLEASE HELP! Ive been trying to figure this out since last night.

I hope its not against the rules to offer someone a 20 tip for helping me. But seriously, I'm desperate. I need my car running now.

Thanks

EDIT: Solution: http://www.fixya.com/cars/t8687312-need_only

Thankyou Lavrishevo and louthepump!

Actually, I didn't buy mine. Went to Autozone and the manager there gave me the plug that they use to test alternators. He cut it in half and gave me the half that goes to my alternator. He didn't charge me either, just said "you're in a pretty bad spot so ill help you out."

In general, green is always associated with being a ground wire. Black is a 'hot' or positive and yellow would be the neutral, negative, or return. But maybe lsCowboyls can chime in. He is our resident Lexus master mechanic.

I hope he can help! The hard part is that the 3 terminals on the alternator are in no way labeled.

With the old connector, are the wires still on it at all?

Check this out too. I believe it is setup as the ground is the one that goes to the block or chassis and the hot and neutral go to the connector.

The old connector is in about 50 pieces. All thats left is the wires.

I hope it works for you. If I am the "winner", use the $20 to treat a couple of people who are in need of some real help to a hot meal or whatever would help the situation of someone who really needs it.

Default alternator connector

I went to Lexus in Tustin, CA and got this info for my 1995 LS400. Looking at the alternator receptacle with the latch tab on top, the #1 pin is on the left, #2 pin in the middle and the #3 onthe right. The yellow wire goes to #1, the black/red goes to #2 and the white/blue goes to #3. I used some red RTV to seal up the pins. The alternator is now working correctly.

Default Thankyou

I am only just now getting a chance to get on here and post but @larishevo, the info you provided did the trick! Alternator is working great! Thankyou so much!

As for the 20 dollar tip, I was so grateful to not have spent a ton of money in getting it towed to a shop and having a mechanic figure it out for me, i took 40 bucks to a pizza place and bought 8 pizzas and brought it to the local homeless shelter here, as per your request!

Thankyou again so much!
