Question just a question

i was wondering....in the owners manual it says not to race the engine when it is cold, however it seems like you get more power when it is

you might feel more power, but its is very damaging. When the engine is cold the engine will Idle higher and the motor oil is not expanding enough since it is cold to protect vital engine parts.

I've never had the feeling that the car drives better when the engine is cold... lol... i've always would be like damnit get warm already... i need to get there before the others do...

If you are talking about the cold weather... yes the car will breathe a lot better in the cold air and feel a lot faster... but not while the engine is cold as well

No, I think know what he's saying.

It's like the suspension, after it sits all night or for several hours the ride is alot stiffer and feels better. After you go around a couple corners the springs/struts heat up or whatever and the ride feel changes.

Same for the engine..I think that pull you feel when the car is cold has more to do with the transmission. after it gets warm, or is driven hard it heats up and becomes a slug.
