Default Replacing Lexus Emblems

Guys, just grabbed 2 chrome emblems off eBay to replace my chipped up gold ones. Got the Lexus logo and lettering.

What is the best method of removal/replacement?

Also, the grill emblem is gold and I'd like to try to chrome this out as well, but it's attached if I'm not mistaken. I don't really want to buy a new grill if I can avoid it. Is there are preferred method to chrome this emblem?

Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can offer!

i just bought mine and i removed the ugly gold and am painting with chrome paint. removal is easy and the pull right off, the grill is held in by a screw and it slides out. pretty easy to remove.

Ill let you know what i end up using to reinstall the rears

To remove the emblem you can use some fishing line or those strong dental floss

you need to look around... there is 1-one- screw holding the grill L on..
raise the hood, it is NOT hidden
you can take the others off with a piece of fishing line,
then you will know how to put them on.
takes a little elbow grease and some clear thinking...
but you can do it... we did..

Use some fishing line for the rears. But there are also tabs that go into the trunk lid on both emblems. Then remove the double sided tape left by the old emblems. They sell a rubber wheel made by 3M (i think) that is good for this. It just goes into a drill and doesn't hurt the paint. Or you can use some sort of remover like GooGone or something like that.

The front has one little screw (like stated already). Take the screw out and then there are two little tabs that keep it snapped into place on each side. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Good luck!

Thanks guys! Great advice.

What would you use to paint the front emblem chrome? I've looked on Amazon for some good paint to no avail. Would it be better just to order a new one that is already chrome?

As for adhesive to mount the new ones, would this work?
Amazon.com: 3M 03614 Scotch-Mount 1/2" x 15' Molding Tape: Automotive Amazon.com: 3M 03614 Scotch-Mount 1/2" x 15' Molding Tape: Automotive
