Default front Lower Ball joint 95-97 98-00

UCF20 LBJ question. Lexus parts catalog has different part numbers. They look the same. Ebay some searches come up 95-00. Some online catalogs do not have 98+ some dont have 95-97.

Any how I just ordered from parts geek.

1997 Lexus LS400 Ball Joint Suspension Price: $36.25 Core: $0.00 Qty: 1 Part #: 101-7027

1997 Lexus LS400 Ball Joint Suspension Price: $36.25 Core: $0.00 Qty: 1 Part #: 101-7028

Beck/Arnley brand.

I'm assuming 95-00 LBJ are the same. Anyone want to confirm?

95-97 becks/arnley LBJ fits 98-00. Figs universal RCA stack is a very tight fit on the dowel pin vs stock. And I did not take off the brake calipers or cut the brake dust shield.

I would like to know how the ride feels with those compared to the stock ones considering they are half the price of the Sewell ones after the the CL discount. I always see ppl say not to go aftermarket with the balljoints on here.

the same part from advanced auto parts is double the price of what parts geek is selling them for.

they were drop shipped from beck/arnley in Tennessee so I got them next day since I'm in NC.

I'm pretty certain theres some type of manufacturer defect warranty on them. From what Rock Auto says 12 month, 12k mile. I'll let you know in 12k miles if they fail which will probably be in about 3 months. I emailed beck/arnley asking about defect warranty as well.

beck/arnley manufacturers for some OEM brands as well. Dont remember what import brand it was since I've owned so many jap/euro cars. I've used the brand in the past never had a problem so I'm not worried. If they go bad after a year or 12k miles I'll blame it on my stiff suspension and being slammed. Plus I think they were easier to change than the spark plugs.

Well, received an email back from beck/arnley. They said warranty is delt through the seller. From the parts geek website states that you have to send it back to them and they will refund your money and you have to repurchase through them. Sounds complicated. Rockauto would probably be worth the little bit extra for the same part for peace of mind.

I will forsure check back in after my 20 hr round trip road trip for labor day weekend. I will check in a month or so as well.

Id say about 12k later. Lowerball joints are still good. Now my upper ball joints are bad. Driver inner tie rod has some movement as well.

I ended up getting mine from Sewell as well as strut rod bushings. It completely eliminated my thump while braking at low speed over small bumps. I can't say if it was the strut rods or the ball joints though since both needed to be changed and both were done at the same time. Now my steering feels a bit loose and I guess it might be the tie rod ends since they were not changed or it could be the rack bushings even though they looked good when I checked them. I should have just changed them out but it's been too cold to even think about getting under the car unless it's a real emergency.
