Hi guys, sorry to dig up a slightly older thread but this is exactly the information I'm after. I've just done a bit of searching around and have settled on BCs for my UCF10 both for price and the good experiences people have seemed to have.
This car is my daily and although I've read the above post about 18kg/16kg riding smooth as glass, I'm a bit hesitant to go with such a heavy spring rate. One of the things I love most about this car is that riding on a cloud feeling the stock suspension has and I would hate to ruin that too much, especially considering my parents occasionally borrow the car.
I understand that stiffness is the sacrifice you make to run cars low and also have a 1400kg R31 Skyline on 12kg springs with 10mm ground clearance at the swaybar, so I know what's up.
I will be fitting 19x9 +25 fronts and 19x10 +35 rears with rolled and possibly flared guards, preferring to go as soft as possible with room in the guards for them to tuck rather than going super stiff. I was considering going with just the off the shelf 12/8 combo that BC offer but after reading this, I think that might be a touch soft in such a heavy car.
I understand that coilovers will be a much stiffer ride than stock but I guess what I'm after is just a comparison of ride quality to standard at different spring rates (harshness of bumps, lift/squat over hills/dips and just general ride quality).
Thanks

What would be a decent spring rate for the following?
- 2" drop
- 19" wheels (19x9.5 +12 and 19x11 +15)
- 35/30 series sidewall (245 and 265/275)
- Up to 4 passengers (I hail from a family of 5 and hold the responsibility of occasionally driving person/people places)
- Sporty ride but not to the point of jarring everyone the second I go over a speed bump
