Lightbulb anyone seen a GT style LS?

this is the closest ive seen to what it would look like..

http://www.speedhunters.com/2008/08/...zx100_mark_ii/
i know the potential for flaming is huge since GT is kinda anti-vip IE luxury but first gens would look pretty sick
with this styling IMO like others have done with cars like STI, EVO, ISxxx, etc for track use

diffuser, spats, gutted, bucket seats, harnesses, gt wing that isnt HUGE etc

i know a few guys drift their LS but usually just look busted and neglected
jw if anyone has seen this done in a clean and aggressive fashion yet on a UCF1x

and ill just post this for everyone who think its dumb/ugly to get it out of the way

and more pics for those unfimiliar:

the LS has NEVER had any sporting pretensions, that's why you've never seen one.

The only one i remember seeing was a 1LS with a huge wing (it was bright yellow...) that was more of an overly exaggerated VIP take on a circuit car.

The LS can be improved, but adding in diffusers and wings and all that without ensuring they work properly (ie-tunnel time) is just pointless and silly.

Do you think a single car posted above has spent time in a wind tunnel? I very highly doubt it.

all the top manufacturers actually do test their kits. Vertex, voltex, cyber, top secret, Mine's, TTE (defunct), etc... all do, hence their cost.

Vertex certainly doesnt or at least didnt in its early years especially considering Ueno lived out of his shop and was fed by friends. The only proof i can find of any of these shops doing any sort of wind tunnel testing is on their specific competition cars. Besides we are talking about doing this more so for the looks than anything. Remember this is getting bolted on to a car which would need extensive work to have any real performance gains.

The Cressidas never were never meant to be particularly sporty, but its a cheap RWD Toyota platform so people flock to them naturally.

I think the thing about the LS400 that discourages people from using them in competion the fact that the cost of parts is somewhat horrendous compared to other vehicles of it's type.

cressidas can bolt on a lot oof crap from mk3 supras, including the trans and the 7mgte.

Also the cressida is WAYYYY lighter than an LS400. Roughly 250-450lbs lighter depending on the gens you're comparing...

True.... I guess comparing the two cars is like apples and oranges... the LS400 is significantly more complicated in its design.

The route I'm heading with my car (exterior-wise) could be considered a mild interpretation of GT-Style. Sporty wheels, low stance, aggressive aero and one of those cool side banners. Refer to the picture below to get a better idea:

Also, did somebody say yellow widebody?

Personally, I think it (the yellow widebody) looks cool but it could only really be pulled off if you're going all the way (e.g. racing seats, roll cage, built motor, etc.)

Default GT vs Race

I think the LS400/430 body style/size would suit a GT if it lost a few pounds and all suspension changed. But the focus is on Grand Touring..ie Speed with handling not Race like but street like. Plus you get a great car. HP and Gearing are too much to ask for the cost benefit but its not my money. 500HP would be cool.
