I have found a number of threads discussing the install of a aftermarket unit and a number explaining the cost and time required to change a NAK head to Pioneer and vice versa but have not been able to find any one who has changed the Pioneer Navigation head and climate control for the Pioneer Stereo head and climate control!

Can this be done with out too much modification of existing harnesses/brackets?

My NAV is working fine but the GPS only works in the US (the way the program was developed). I like stock and would seriously consider changing out to the Pioneer stereo and climate control if it was not too much trouble.

I appreciate any help in this matter.

just need the factory '98-00 pioneer headunit and climate control, will plug right in. Don't believe you need any other brackets and you SHOULD be able to use the ones on the navi.

That the brackets are interchangeable is excellent. Will the Nav harness plug in to the stereo head and function correctly?
