Christine has invaded sound system of 1992 LS400
OK...LS 400 is having battery go dead. I am hearing hissing from door speakers and rumbling from the rear deck sub-woofer....even though the car is off and the key is out. I pulled the #18 fuse in engine compartment to cut power from the radio system and that seems to have stopped the drain. But I'd like to find the reason for the drain. Two recent items that might have something to do with it? Pulled the dead power antenna and just hooked up a non-power antenna - so the power wires for the old power antenna are capped and not hooked up. Most of the speakers (except from right/left) are dead or near dead (summer project)....but why the drain on the battery when car is off/key is out? Thanks, Dan

Welcome to Club Lexus.
Not sure if it relates, check the wiring harness that runs through the trunk hinge. Usually this worn harness shows up as weird tail light and brake light problems. Shorts of any kind depending on location can cause many other odd situations so that is my suggestion.
