Default What is this part called which broke?

I recently lowered my 92 LS400 just one inch and I think I stressed this part, even though it was very rusted to begin with.

Once this arm went, my car was all over the road!

Anyways, I think its called the rear trailing arm. Are there any other names for it?

any price ideas?

Thanks

Holy cow that looks scary as hell. As for the part's name, i think you're right but don't quote me. If this side failed, might as well look into getting the other side replaced and check everything else under the car while you're at it. Man, that looks like cancer waiting to spread, if it hasn't.

Pretty sure you'll need to get your alignment corrected once you replace that part, too

Never seen so much rust. Glad mine is not that bad. Change both sides.

The underneath looks bad but the rest of the car is in mint condition.

I can't find this part anywhere locally!

Would anyone know what the Lexus part number on this?

I can't tell for sure from the picture, but check to see if you are leaking brake fluid (onto the tire).

Your part number is listed above your post. Check Sewell Lexus and see if that price is before or after club discount.

Holy crap the rust. I guess NY really is worse than PA with road salt. It might be redundant, but I'm with Johnny. If you're changing one, might as well change the other.

That's a lot of rust, is it even safe to drive the car seeing that the rust already snapped the arm? I would def try to treat the rest of the rust before I would feel safe.

agreed! take into consideration the other side as well as the neighboring components.
