So I had this bank 1 code before (P0420) and I ended up changing the cat at a local mechanic which costed me an arm and a leg, after reading up I come to find out that I got ript off , so now I decide to do the job myself, I need help fellaz , I don't trust ebay items, I also need an original part so it won't go defect. The code is (P0430).

+1 on that! I have the same code on my 98 ls400 but it was an exhaust leak due to all the scraping etc and its cutting thru the pipe already lol gotta sacrifice if wanna ride low

I went through the same exact thing on my 99. 420 and 430 at various points. If you can, go back and get them to replace the cats. They sold you cheap ones without enough precious metals. If you have to do it yourself I would go for the right magnaflows or similar, like my newest pair over paying for oem. Oem is about $700 more each...

Also, it does say in the manual to not let the car idle for more than 15 min without driving. I want to say that this can damage the cats if I remember correctly.
