Megan Coilovers on a UCF10
#16
but i understand your confusion, since most folks going coilovers always has the intention of lowering the car.

Thanks No hella flush for me right now...
I took some measurements on my car today:
Front
235-40-18
3" fender space from top of tire to bottom of the fender lip at 12:00 position.
25" from groun to bottom of the fender lip at 12:00 position.
Rear
255-35-18
3.5" fender space from top of tire to bottom of bender lip at 12:00 position.
26" from ground to bottom of fender lip at 12:00 position.
Front lip 9" clearance from ground.
Now I'm thinking a 2 inch drop is going to be too much for me..
I know it sounds stupid but can anyone tell me the height of the Megan struts when the length is maxed out?
Is it the strut length plus the spring length? so
220mm (spring)
200mm (strut)
= a max length of 420mm or 16.53"?
stroke length 115mm or 4.72"
The KYB page lists the stock fronts with this data:
extended length 20.71" or 526.34mm
compressed length 15.59" or 395.86
stroke 5.12"
If the math is right then it puts the front height using KYB LP's at max length at stock max compressed height using stockies?
Does not compute.....
Help please thanks!

Wait....conflict.

the megans can't get close to stock height or ride, minimum 1.5-2" drop in the front at max height.

if you're not looking to drop the car real low, then the megan ez's are your best bet.
I don't want super low but Atlanta roads are fairly good except one street on the way to work.

This is my UCF10 on megan EZ streets. The 95-00 application bolts directly in, they fit perfectly. Don't listen to the dummy you were emailing at megan.
My rears in the picture are at maximum low, they can raise probably 2-3 inches higher still. The fronts can raise another 1.5 or 2 inches I believe as well. The ride is still pretty comfy, definitely sportier than stock though.

The problem with the Megan's is that the rears will get you where you want to be but the fronts will max out real quick. The fronts go lower than the fenders will allow but the rears only give maybe 2-2.5" drop max. Poor design, I am also seeing clear difference in dampening strength between the corners. In other words they are also poorly pared so with the right set at 8 and the left at 8 one side is clearly stiffer.

Eeek. 1.5" - 2" drop may be a bit much for my daily drive. The damn AF Bases like to put up speed tables so a hella flush drop is out of the question. I already scrape sometimes even going over diagonally.
I'm not running anything crazy
IS350 stock 18" rims
235 40 18 in front
255 35 18 in rear
I was hoping for a coilover replacement esp since KYB blues and H&R springs will cost just as much as a coilover set...
Any other suggestions?

And he made it in with no issues other than exhaust scrape.
