Default The center bolt for the rotors

I just changed the front pads for the first time on my LS last night (actually the first time I've ever done a pad replacement).

I noticed somebody who previously owned the vehicle didn't replace these bolts. Could somebody please let me know the parts that are supposed to be in place to hold the rotors properly? Went to a parts store and the guy tried to sell me some regular screws.

Whoever did the last brake job sure didn't do a good job. Everything to hold the rotors in place is missing and the shims for the pads were also missing.

If anybody knows what these are called so I can put the rotor on correctly that would be great.
Thanks

What do you mean??? Those are the lugs that hold the wheel to the car. The actual rotors usually have 2 small screws that hold them in place but after a couple of brake jobs or suspension work they usually get lost( At least mine did ) but you don't really need them to hold the rotors.

I was referring to the bolt in the center of the lugs as well. Not Important? Just wanna make sure all is safe. When the calipers are removed the rotors is loose and wobbles around. Is that normal?

I learn how to fix things as needed. I have done control arms and some other work on these cars. Never had to do brakes on a car though. Usually don't end up keeping my cars long enough for that.

there's not supposed to be a bolt there, that hole is used when you're doing work on the hub.

the exact center threaded hole is for the hub, and there is normally nothing there. this is safe.

as for the rotor wobbling when the caliper is loose, this is normal if you don't have the two rotor retaining screws installed. there are two retaining screws that keep the rotor onto the hub. they are not mission critical, meaning a lack of them will not hinder normal braking. they are just there to keep the rotor square to the hub.
