ls400 Speedometer issue - PLEASE HELP!
Hi. I have a 89 Celsior, practically same as 90 ls400, and since i hit a pothole and buckled my front passenger side rim, my speedo has stopped working and sits well below zero. It starts to read 5 kmph when im travelling around 100 kmph.
I need some help in some possible other issues that could be brought to light. The ABS light is always on and never goes off.
So far ive done the following attempts at fixing;
-Replaced front passenger side ABS wheel speed sensor
-Replaced front driver side ABS wheel speed sensor
-Replaced rear passenger side ABS wheel speed sensor
-Replaced ABS ECM
-Played around with the speed sensors on transmission
-Checked the 60amp fuse under bonnet near battery (no fault)
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Probably need to check the needle itself. Take it out and test it by ohming it out. Check around for what the resistance should be to see if its still good. If you can find a replacement gauge than put that in and see if the needle works.

my needle was like that. I replaced the transmission speed sensor and instrument cluster. I really think I only needed a new cluster though. It does look like it is probably broken. If it's easy to get a (used) cluster where you are, that's probably what to do.

Well i got to the bottom of it today while looking at prices for a new cluster. I kept turning the speed needle when i pulled the whole cluster out and disassembled it to find if any broken capacitors were there, so i found nothing, what I did was keep manually rotating the speed needle to the max speed and let it spring itself back, until it finally landed on zero on the springback, plugged it all back in, took it for a spin, and wallah it worked.
