Default 1-LS: need help with wheel & tire fitment

Hey everyone,

i have a 93 ls400, been wanting to buy new rims, i plan on getting Work Varianza D3S but i need help figuring out which specs will be best. i don't want to have to roll my fender as well so i'm guessing 18x7 will be ok? or can i go wider? because i plan on dropping my car on megan's too. and i only plan on getting 18's. so i jus need to know if these fitments will clear my caliper or will i need to get spacers no matter what..

so i assume i need the big brake r-disk?? or can i go to any other category?

I can only give insight as I have personal experience with this wheel... My work varianza d3s wheels are 19x9+9 (with a 2mm spacer to clear brakes) in front and 19x10+13 in the rear. My rear quarters have been grinded and fit very flush as in you can't get a sheet of paper between the tire and quarter but they never touch. I have a mild roll on the front fenders but still rub from time to time. Especially at full lock. Sorry I couldn't answer your questions, hope this helps you determine a little better.

I have euroline DH 18x9.5 +26 18x10 +22 rear and it fits just right on the fenders, it doesn't rub but you're gonna have to roll the fenders though

thank you, info helped a bit. still tryna figure out this chart though and what works for me, if i can go above 18 without messing up suspension, but looks like i'll end up having to roll fender no matter what or just not drop it so low, i really just don't want a heavily cambered wheel.. that's my biggest concern, if i could not camber them at all after i drop, that would be great

yeah, i don't want to have to do that, i'm still new to the whole car scene, first car doing this stuff but i love the LS, it can look so nice, so i'm just trying to do things right,, and not get a wheel, or anything really, that doesn't fit right and keep putting more money than need be for maintenance.

This will give you a good idea of what my 19x9's and 10's look like. Pretty much right on the money. So if you go with lower specs (higher offset) than mine I think you'll be good.

Dude,

I fit an 18x10 +18 in the front and 18x10+6 in the rear of mine with max camber maximum drop on the coils and everything.

I am also running -6 camber in the rear and -3 in the front.

If you want to run a flush fitment without being too low try 18x9.5 +25 in the front with like -2 camber and maybe 18x10 +20 in the rear with maybe -3 degrees of camber. The thing about the rear on the LS400 UCF10 is that the caliper sits behind the hub so you can run any disc type that you want and it will never have clearance issues with the brakes. O disc on the varianza would be the one to get because it maximizes the amount of lip on the wheel which looks the best as well. I hope this helps you!

GREAT, thanks man, cleared up some confusion! helped quite a bit! so question, well for anyone.. everybody's been saying 9.5 in the front and 10 in the back, there a reason why? like is that for a looks thing because people like to camber their rims? or is that required spec? so like if i go with like maybe 8.5 front rear 9, or 9 front 9.5 rear will it fit and still camber? i really don't want to camber my wheels, cuz more maintenance less life...

just a reminder, 1st gen and 2nd gen have very different clearances so fitments cannot be compared across them.

'95-00 generally can run more aggressive than '89-94.

You can fit around 18x9 +25-35 R disk, 18x10 +25-30 O disk to give you so what of a lip
