Engine check light came on in my 97 LS 400 the other day and coded ERG Valve. Started looking online for a deal and 2 days later engine starts to run rough. Thinkin I might get lucky and find a vaccum leak , I pulled the engine cover off. Well it wasn't a vaccum leak or ERG after all. Looks like a mouse has chewed off all the emissions wiring and used it for nesting somewere because I can't find a piece. Soooo, If someone would be so kind and e-mail me some pictures of the wiring between the valve covers on both sides of the intake on your LS 400 I think i may be able to piece it back together. Please send to hotwired58@hotmail.com and if you need i can text pictures of what I need. Now all I need is a cat!

I suggest you just go to a local junkyard and pull the wiring off a similar year LS, and hope no electrical damage was done.

How much damage/how many wires were ruined? Do you think you will be able to peice them back together or is it just a tangled mess?

Had a Friend with an F-350 once that wouldnt start one day for the same reason. Little b***ards built a nest right on top of the engine. Took a little work but we did manage to get it totally repaired

this is as effective as a cat and you don't have to feed it

mix with alcohol and water in a squirt bottle for INSTANT CHEAP PEPPER SPRAY

then squirt down engine compartment and undercarriage and RATS WILL STAY AWAY!
