That's one of the reasons , but my main reason not to use after market is because the weight ratio .. those after market rims destroys the ride and kills the trans + your gas mileage ... they look pretty and all that don't get me wrong but I live in dirty Jersey and **** filled with potholes it won't be a pleasant experience ..

They are thick spoked cast wheels, what would you expect.

FYI...
If anyone is interested, I just saw a posting on Craigslist in Phoenix for some 18" 5 spoke 2008 GS wheels. I think these will fit the big brake cars, but not 100% sure.
I want to emphasize that this is NOT my ad, and I have no idea who the seller is. In fact, I might have taken a look at these if they were available prior to my purchase of some Tourmalines.

honestly I couldn't put a price on them right now as I am looking for a cheap/freeish alternative to my stock 16" wheels. I would however gladly come to your place and take them off your hands to help clear space for your next project

I have same rims as SpencerT, but I changed tires for 245/45/18 front and 275/40/18 for rear. The height is exactly the same as OEM so speedo doesn't lie, but these are the widest you can put on these and still fit perfectly. The rims I got from Ebay.
