Default Smoke at WOT kickdown -

This morning, I was sitting at 30mph at 1800rpm, and had to do a instant -kick-in-the-pants WOT kickdown.

The car hit 4k and sped away. I noticed a small plume of smoke in the rearview mirror.

What could it be? Unburnt gas, or....? No other times do I have smoke.

did you happen to see what color it was? See if you can reproduce it and also take a close look at the exhaust when starting it up in the morning.

i've seem many cars show large plumes of smoke when at WOT, mostly all black from burning fuel.

white = water indicating a head gasket failing, and blue = oil indicating seals/piston.

Looked like white or blue smoke, but when the car does cold starts, no smoke at all.

It was low 30's when this happened yesterday.

If it's white check your power steering idle up valve or remove it and bypass.

that cold and it was probably just condensation from the water in the exhaust, you should be seeing it on a lot of other cars at that time too, esp. at night when the exhaust gets illuminated by headlights.
