The door lock actuator motor is made by Mabuchi. You can find them on ebay for really cheap.

From what I am gathering, as a little note. The "D" shaft needs to be removed from the OEM shaft and inserted onto replacement unless you find the part with the exact style shaft insert. Rather simple. Rip off price for the actuator is $400 but you can find them pretty easily for around $200. Even from a dealer, online of course. Come on LsCowboy, at least look at the links before rolling your eyes at me... lol

Denso doesn't make small motors like that. I know Honda uses NMB as their supplier of lock actuators, and they are one of the world's biggest maker of small motors and fans.

Just look at the links provided... It is Mabuchi Motors (Japanese company) who makes the motor. When the actuator goes out this is the piece that fails. Maybe it's hard to accept that Lexus charges such an insane amount for a $5 part.

From what I understand, the authentic Mabuchi parts are stamped on the white plastic. Just like the ebay item. How does a $1.75 make you feel? Hilarious if you ask me. $400 if you walk up to a dealers part counter. $1.75 if you order online... LOL

I have had success doing just that on TPS's and crank and cam sensors!

Denso does not make this part for aftermarket, so dealer part at 25%-30% discount is your best bet
but here is something you could try - go to various auto parts stores, and ask to see the coils for 1990 LS400, you may get lucky and find the Denso part in a Beck Arnley or Delphi or other brand box!

sort of - same plant makes it - filter media is different, and has the K&N nut welded on top (which I am not that crazy about)
the ones you would typically buy at the dealership, or used in their service department, yes.
however, many people seek out the wonderful p/n 90915-20004 Nippon Denso original assembly filters made in Japan - and they are also larger!
FWIW, the OEM "service" filter isn't the same as the one installed at the assembly plant. Honda and Subaru use Fram-made service filters. All replacement ones from Toyota are made in Thailand.
