Default Clear headlight lenses 98-00

I've came across a thread in the SC forum and they are working on a group buy to get some made.

Would the any LS 98-00 be interested in getting clear headlight lenses made? Assuming not.

Would make DIY projector retrofitting look nicer.

I don't understand. The 98-00 LS400 headlight lenses are already clear.

that's what i was originally thinking but I am guessing these don't have ANY lines on them - totally smooth/clear.

The pics from the SC do look pretty sweet. I would be curious about something like this with our fogs though. The standard LS fogs are not clear and don't match the color/intensity of the HID lights.

Yes no line, no creases. I dont think there would be enough interest for the headlights anyways since theres probably some hidden in JDM land that can be had if only a couple people wanted.

But fog lights would be interesting.

I would only because one of mine is cracked and I can't bring myself to spend 500 on a new one.

There's NO benefit to these, and subsequently nobody will make them. the SCs were only ever made with fluted lenses which is why there is a significant market for them.

Our lenses are plastic, so if you REALLY want to get rid of the faint lines then you could sand them out, in theory. Such a minor thing that i've never seen anyone do it. Ever.

But for light output, definitely nothing to be gained.

Just an idea for an alternative to buying non HID head lights just to use the lenses.

I'd pay $400-500 for lenses with no lines vs OEM ones. If there was enough interest it might be possible.
