You said "race cars," denoting ALL race cars and not specifically stating just CART Indy F1 and Nascar but added them in merely as an example of the every race instances. There are members on this site with race cars and i can assure you, they are not replacing rads before every race!

I worked and crewed for a Rolex Grand Am team as well as multiple teams at levels below that, including standing offers to work for other elite level teams, and i can assure you what i said was 100% true. Even top level teams in Grand Am run a trickle down methodology, the pro drivers get brand new parts while the gentlemen racers get their used parts and spares. That why you'll see teams like TRG run 8 cars at the Daytona 24hr but only 3-4 finish and those 3-4 are driven exclusively by pro drivers... the others DNF due to break down and crashes.

CART, INDY, F1 TopFuel and Nascar pretty much denotes an unlimited budget!
there is racing beyond those 5, just incase you didn't know!

so again, what i said is entirely true, you just misconstrued/misread/misunderstood it...
