Default Strut arm or radius arm?

Ok, so I bought my car (93ls400) knowing that it has been in an accident. My passenger side front suspension has been pushed back just a tad. A friend of mine at lexus was helping me with the alignment this past satuday He said that he thought that I could buy the radius arm/strut arm in different lengths? It's the arm that goes from the lower control arm to the body. The arm looks to have an adjustment on it, but is already maxed out. I've done some basic research with the autoparts store, and seems no one even carries this arm. Who ever did the repair job on this car, did a really *******y job.

We got the camber and toe pretty close, but the caster is way out on the passenger side. The car pulls to the right , but not too bad.

Anybody have any input on this?

Thanks, Mike

lo no, only come in one length.

sounds like the frame is damaged and/or the bracket for the caster arm (aka strut rod/arm aka radius arm) is bent to crap.

get a proper shop to fix it, won't be safe any other way.

Before taking it to a shop I might try and replace the arm. Do you happen to know who would sell them? I've been searching everywhere on the net, and I've only found a couple used ones on ebay. It might come down to being a dealer only item. Thanks for the input

dealer only, ebay or car-parts.com is where you are probably going to have to look!

pushed back just a tad
On high spec areas, that tad is a make or break. If all that is pushed back, not only is the caster mount off but the lower control arm mount may also be out. Then all those interconnected parts may be shifted. Get the car back into spec/straightened. Then put fresh pairs in there. Otherwise, you'll have one new part with fresh bushings and an old one on the opposite side, that won't play nicely. That is going to take some $ but this will be doing it right.

If the car is in otherwise good shape and your deal was good, it may be worthwhile. Not knowing all that happened, this is an iffy undertaking. But it may not be as bad so you'll have to get in there to see.

I did get a deal on the car, so I don't mind spending some time and money on it. The car drives and feels so much better after the alignment. Like I said, it still pulls to the right just a bit but it's almost not noticable. I do plan on replacing all bushings as funds come up.
