Purchased my first ls
Been looking for a clean ls to use for the work commute for some time now as my other cars arent suitable for the task. Just picked this one up from the auctions in japan; should be here within two months. Looking forward to utilizing everybody's knowledge on the forum. Dont plan much in the way of mods; just need to color match the lower trim and ditch the gold emblems asap

Welcome to Club Lexus and congrats on the incoming car.
Also makes me curious about the US market Lexus over the Toyota market Celsior. In Dubai which is easier to get parts for, the Celsior or LS400? (Granted body panels are interchangeable and others but as far as specific left and right hand drive configurations.)

Car looks really clean and you already got hooked up with curtains apparently. I personally like the two tone color on the black models and wouldn't color match it, but that's just me.
I was wondering the exact same thing, I would definitely want a RHD over the LHD usdm spec any day.

We drive left hand drive vehicles here hence the logical choice to purchase a ls as opposed to celsior. You cant register a right hand drive vehicle unless its classified as a classic. Actuallty ive never seen a celsior here; the market here is flooded with US spec lexus models as they tend to be cheaper than local specd ones. I always prefer to purchase vehicles from the japanese auctions as they tend to be minters. My ls is a 2000 model with 39,000 miles.
Not sure how i feel about those curtains; i like the ones in the back but not a fan of them in the front. Any idea how they are usually mounted? Easy to remove?
