Will 1990 OEM ES wheels fit my 1990 LS?
I'm looking for a set of wheels to use for winter. I found a set of 1990 ES wheels. They look identical to the OEM 1990 LS400 wheels...except they are a 5.5" wide wheel instead of a 6.5" wheel. A slightly narrower tire is preferred for winter. The ES wheel would require me to run a 195/60/15 vs. the LS400 205/65/15.
Question...does anyone know if the 1990 ES wheels will fit my 1990 LS with no clearance issues?
Thanks!!

We usually have bigger and wider talk so this is different.
The calipers from 90-94 do not pose clearance issues. The one aspect to check is the wheel offset. Those 5.5 width wheels will be quite sunken if they are 45mm offset. With the ES wheels and tire size listed, you will have a 1"+ diameter difference with a ~5% speedometer error and corresponding drop in mileage/gas consumption. I would suggest to keep looking for the factory LS wheels or similar width/offset wheels.
