Default Is there room?

Hey guys, im looking to buy a 98 ls by spring time. Ive been reading on here for a while and one question I have is.

I have a set of train horns from. http://www.hornblasters.com/products...train-horn-kit

I got them years ago for a truck and never got to Install.

Is there room in the bumpers for these?

Still can't wait to finally get a ls.

I really really doubt it.
if that is at all possible they would not be forward mounted.

I would definitely be mounting then sideways. Maybe ill have to mount them in the rear.

Its not that important just wishful thinking. I was never able to install them on any of my vehicle's.

Haha thats what i was thinking... but it would be a good idea, you would never expect a train horn and would definitely not expect for it to be coming out of a 4 door Lex.

I got the horns for a truck. But sold the truck and never installed them.

Then I grew up and decided a LS400 will be my next vehicle.

So they are sitting in a box in storage. Along with airline, smc valves, 12 gallon tank, 5 gallon tank, and 2 compressors oh and gauges too.

So if there was room under there somewhere I would throw them in.

And I could use a bigger horn for rushhour traffic.

the LS horns are a bit on the weak side, so as long as they aren't used solely to annoy people i'd say it's alright

Hmmm not sure where youd put the 12 gallon tank at unless you put it in the trunk... but i dont think an air tank would like right in the trunk or anywhere exposed without air ride for suspension.

I do not see this happening in the ls.
But let me say, I have wanted something like this in mine about 100 times.
Goodluck and I really hope this install works out.

i think it's fine. rather have a horn too loud than not loud enough.

you don't need such big horns, hell a lot of people run the harbor freight horns with the little 12v compressor that comes with them. if you already had a full aftermarket air suspension then these might work lol.

If you are going for a rear mount would you be able to put them in the trunk side wells? this is the first place I thought of when I saw your thread but I figured you were looking to put the horns up front. The area I am thinking of is inside the trunk- left and right corners there are two flaps you can lift up that might have enough space for them. The only thing in these areas is a drain tube for the moon roofs I think.

I know nothing about horns so I don't know what kind of size or location would be best for this kind of thing. Just throwing this suggestion out there.

Thanks brother. I will have to check that out once I find a LS.

Looking at different pics I think I might be able to mount 2 next to the stock horns facing down.

When I buy a LS I will post pics of the install in this thread.
