LS 400 it's '99...
Few months ago I bought my first lexus LS 400.
It has 150k miles on it.
Family sold it since the elderly single owner passed away few months back. Theres no history available with family of getting any major work done except regular lube change at a local shop and new tires over the course 110k-present.
I like the ride so much that I took it to toyota dealership( no lexus close enough) and asked to do thorough inspection, which they did, during lube change; no recommendation for repairs needed.
I have put on new michelin tires since and got it aligned.
Please suggest:
What shall I do next to make sure that i continue to enjoy the ride and keep it near 100% reliable although it has high mileage on it?
I am planning to get timing belt/water pump changed since I don't have any knowledge of it done.
I don't plan to spend too much money that eventually I may begin to feel buyers remorse.
I love LS400 for its ride. I have had MB E320 before which was nowhere near what i feel when I am driving this champ!

do the timing belt and water pump and keep the car. I've put 25k miles on my 99 and I've only had it for about 8 months. The comfort of driving it on 12hr drives is excellent.

Inspect your timing belt for cracks, fraying, or slack first. It is such an expensive job and is not always necessary at the suggested intervals. Considering toyota didnt say anything about it, you might be in good shape.
Other than that its really just fluid and bushings.
Do a few tranny drain and fills if the fluid is bad.
As for bushings, we have like 100 that can break down can ride quality will suffer.
