Just finished up:

Timing belt
Water pump
Timing belt tensioner and pulleys
Drive belt
Thermostat
Spark plugs
Coolant flush
Upper and lower radiator hoses
Oil and filter
Air filter
Transmission drain
Cleaned throttle body
Wax job

Car runs very smoothly now and looks almost as good as new. Started Friday after work and probably spent about 16 hours over the four days. Could do a timing belt change much quicker now that I know what I'm doing. Having a lift and a nice set of tools helped immensely.

Finally got around to doing the JBrady intake mod. Now I'm shopping around to get the rear 2 resonators deleted.

Going to do some under the hood detailing tomorrow.

Brake caliper paint will hopefully be done before Thanksgiving is over.

After being without a Lexus for over a year I caught myself checking around Craigslist and found a '96 LS400 for 1500. I decided to check it out... The engine was running on 5 or 6 cylinders, clear coat peeling at tops of doors and hood, leather seats cracked, chrome peeling from wheels, headlight bracket broken, grille cracked... Still a solid car though haha. I offered 700 and got it for 900. Today I put plugs and wires in and she runs like a top. Also put 350z wheels on until I can get something else. Really excited to have an LS again, this is my first 95+

I spent 7K. All new parts for the suspension...every bushing, every arm, every shock and mount, new Rack, all new ignition parts, every filter, all fluids, full TB, water pump, thermostat, every belt. Drives new.

Next I will replace the leather seat covers, dye the steering wheel and shifter. Has 188K. Want to drive it to 400k mls. Nicest car I have owed. Better than my 2010 SC 430.

Default A little more paint work

Playing with the brakes today... I've got some overspray and touch up to do, but I'm pleased with how it looks.

Great job on the brakes! Which paint did you use and where did you get the decals?

Thanks! I used VHT engine enamel. I put the primer on first, then the white and decals, followed by the clearcoat.

I got the decals from m3kgtguy on eBay. Got the decals in about 4 days from AZ to SC. Less than 10 bucks for high temp vinyl. He does custom colors as well but they take a little longer and add to the cost a bit.

I like it way better than rust. But for anyone else or next time maybe remove them and don't paint the hose or wire, it would look real professional.

Yeah. I'm gonna upgrade to stainless steel lines when I swap the rotors.
