Default Lexus Gearbox identification

Hi All

I am looking to purchase a motor and gearbox combo on ebay. In speaking to the seller he assures me it is from a 1998/2000 LS400.

The gearbox has the following label no: 35010/50120 on it.

Can anyone please help to identify this gearbox.

Thanks in advance

Ian

part number didnt bring anything up, go ahead and link us this time to the listing. Usually we discourage ebay ads.

Here is the link to the add. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISA...:X:RTQ:GB:1123

I am in email contact with the guy and this was his response to my question regarding year and model.

" Hi, engine cover states 1UZ-VVT-i, on memory from a 1998/2000 model,(we had a few cars at that time), auto box has label no: 35010/50120, engine complete with fan belt on with all auxillieries, subframe engine mountings inc steering rack, exhaust manifolds with front boxes, wiring cut when engine removed but still on engine and gearbox."

Thanks all for the effort so far.

Regards

Ian

that price is ridiculous.

regardless, if it's the trans that came with the engine originaly it should be an A650e 5 speed automatic.

one thing to be weary about, the cut harness means you'll have to find another, and these engines will NOT start with the factory ECU if you don't also have the original immobilizer key and reader.

Hi

When you say "that price is ridiculous", is that good or bad ridiculous? The cut harness is a bit of an issue, I am trying to find some writeup/documentation relating to the use of a megasquirt 3 and msextra 3 for the control of this motor/tranny.

I have feelers pout with DIYAUTOTUNE and EXTAEFI. I will let you know the outcome.

Thanks for help so far

ridiculously good. an engine/trans combo for those years usually runs about $1,200US or more.
