1990 LS400 CPU location?
I'm giving my son the car, he wants it to fix up and drive and it will be his first car. We have worked on cars quite a bit together so it will be fun for us to do together.
I bought another CPU for my 1990 LS400 but I have no idea where it's located in the car to replace it. I have searched the forum and found plenty of stuff but not what I need. Any helpers out there? Thanks!

The car has been having a lot of issues and with the symptoms it has quite a few people on here said they replaced their ECU and it fixed it. The ECU is about the only thing left it could be. I picked one up cheap so I really hope this fixes it, if not the car will be sold.
Originally I thought it needed a tune up. It had horrible hesitation and wouldn't get up to speed, kept hearing popping/backfiring sounds from the engine. Tune up done, still having the same issues. I was then told it was the mass airflow sensor, replaced it, didn't fix it. New fuel pump and filter, still didn't fix it. I had another mechanic check out the sensors and all that under the hood and they couldn't figure it out.
After chatting with a few people on here I was told that they were having the same issues and it was the ECU. I hope it is, I like this car...
