Is it just me? (megan coilovers)
Or are Megan EZ Coil overs total garbage??
I have had Tein Flex on my DA Integra's
Tein SS on Both my Impreza and Forester
and BC coils on my G35...
All rode SUPER LOW and all with dampers set full on stiffest setting.when I bought my first Integra, when I was 16 it was a SUUUUPER stiff ride - and from that point on, I could never enjoy a soft or bouncy ride.
So point is... Does anyone feel that the Megan EZ are too damn soft? - I have my damper set stiff, and the ride height is legit for now til I get new wheels - Should i just chunk em' and get BC's?? - Megans are becoming a huge regret really fast...

The spring rates are low for the application but I see that as poor desighn from Meagan not the purchaser. everyone seems to be ignoring that the forester is real close in weight. With good springs and dampners stiffness shouldn't be hard to accomplish regardless of weight. The BMW 5 from the same time period is heavier and drives like its on rails, most coils sold for it make it even stiffer.
This is why I don't like bargain coils, they are usually one size fits all in regards to rates and stiffness of the dampners and suck bigtime on heavier cars.

lol tein CS for the LS have a spring rate of 6/4 kg/mm. they are called comfort sport, and live up to the soft name.
low springrate isn't a design flaw, it's personal preference. the Megans have been out for 2-3 years+ and nobody I know has had a major defect or issue with them. if you want a rock-hard ride, get some custom valved BC or PBM. If you want super soft, get tein CS (for your UCF20) or some softly sprung BC/PBM. the megans are a nice inbetween.

I was unaware of the rates upon purchase - as I gauge most of my purchases by word of mouth or actually riding in a vehicle equipped with what I am looking for, but this time it was just a really good deal locally - and I hadn't really done my "homework" so to speak, though most of what I read was nothing but love toward the EZ's - only real problem I was noticing was people unhappy with ride height issues. I appreciate the replies guys, I honestly didn't realize the LS was such a fatty - lol, as far back as I can think, my G has been the #1 heaviest, second to the Forester - and third would have been my Eclipse GT, but that was only on springs. I think I am just going to order me some BC coils in a few months. The Megans are livable for now, just sucks that when I punch the gas I can hear the rear wheels rubbing what I believe is the panel closest to the door, since the fenders are rolled and there is plenty clearance.
