When I open the door I do not get an indicator light saying my door is open is that normal? I however do get a light when I turn off my overdrive and my power switch next to my shifter. Any ideas?

there should always be an indicator light in the cluster showing a door open, at least on my 97 it does. im not too sure about the 91s. check the ground pin which hits the door as you close it. is it corroded? rubber torn? does this happen on all doors, or only the driver?

door switch is probably dead.

I think it's called the courtesy light switch. If that's al it is it's an easy fix.
