Default Service Manual

I have found online service manuals for the Acura NSX and the Supra. I realize that the LS is not a tuner car and therefore there is probably not a manual anywhere online. Maybe someone here would be willing to copy and post a manual.

Who has a manual? What years covered? Anyone willing to assist someone that has a manual in getting it online? I am limited in my web workings knowledge but would be happy to help.

Hey Lou

Is it one of those CD they sell on ebay for $30
and if so how do you like it.

I am looking to get one but don't know how detailed it is .
i.e. trouble codes, diagrams etc.

Thanks ahead of time.

So far that I looked through it is pretty detailed with diagrams and pics.
The format is PDF and there is sheets and sheets of PDFs!

Default I'll let you know

Guys:

I've ordered one of those "all Lexus models" Chilton CD manuals.

The first one I got wouldn't install cleanly; the say they're sending another.

If I can load it, I'll let you know!

What about alldata.com? Has anyone tried them out? I like the part about technical service bulletins but I'm not crazy about printing all of the details every time I need to fix something.

I just bought the engine and body manuals (95 LS400) from Jay Marks Toyota in Dallas (Jeff Watson) for $160. It's a lot of money for a couple of books but they'll pay for themselves within a year. Alldata sounds like a good deal since they do have TSB's but I just like to have the books on hand for quick reference.

Default ebay cd manuals

Finally got a set of Mitchell "on demand" CD-based manuals f or all Lexus vehicles installed...somewhat unfriendly software to install (2 CD's;2 floppies) but it IS pretty useful...has all the CPU error codes AND follow-up testing procedures.

It appears to offer on-lone access to TSB's, as well......

Easily worth the $30.

Default 2000 Lexus LS400 Service Manuals for $300?

I picked up my vehicle today and stopped by the parts department to purchase a service manual for a 2000 LS400. It comes in two volumes, $150 each for a total of $300.

Does this sound high to you?

I would buy it if you have the money. Steve Ganz gave me $162 for mechanicals (two books) and $75 for electrical. This is for '95 LS400 though.

Default What's the difference betw the Manual & CDs

Rather than pay $300 for the 2-volume Repair manual set, I bidded on ebay for a CD containing all lexus vehicles from 1983 - 2000 for $20.

What's the difference between the Lexus Service manuals and the CDs? Do they have the same contents?

I'll probably go ahead and buy the CDs and later, depending on their content, purchase the manuals.

I bought Mitchelle's CD from Ebay for US$20 and it's worth the money. I also went to the public library and checked AllData.com but I found that it's not very useful because of lacking the repair information. I ended up buying the Lexus service manual, volume 1 for Can $120. This is what I need.
