Default Just purchased a 1999 LS400 lolfp Car

Hi Everyone, Am new to this forum and just purchased a 1999 Arctic Silver LS400 with 65k miles on it. Perfect condition EVERYTHING works and this car was meticulously maintained. Have the entire service history. Just had the timing belt replaced at 62K. Cooling system, transmission and brake fluid were flushed a few times duriing its last 13 years. Oil changed at 3k intervals. Not a single dent and it's been garaged. Drives like new. Only option was the Nakamichi stereo with the 6cd changer magazine in the compartment above the glove box. CD changer was never used. Ashtrays front and rear unused. Leather like new. I think for 13k it was a bargain. Even the first aid kit under the front seat and tool kit in the trunk were never opened.

I have one question regarding the controls on the steering wheel. There is Function/Mode/Reset. I cannot figure out what Function does. Nothing happens as far as I can tell and the owners manual does not even have any reference to those button.

Can anyone help answer this?

Thanks in advance......

If you get an error message in the trip computer display, like "Check VSC", the Function button let you switch back to the trip computer information.

And congratulation to the the purchase and the car.

the fxn/mode/reset switches are for the MFD in the cluster. refer to owner's manual, there's a whole section on it.

That's the mode button not the function. All the function button does is switch back to whatever was displayed if you have a warning message come up, such as open door, taillight failure, etc..
