Default Picking up a 98 ls400 with 178k (used to own a 91!)

Just as the title says

I found a decently clean and affordable enough LS400 for sale

It's a 1998 with black outside, black inside. no woodgrain steering wheel and no nak or nav
5 owners since it was made verified by carfax
never been in a crash
was a lease vehicle for 100K of the 178K in florida
I have comprehensive service records for the first 100K and oil changes every 5K documented for the rest of the history
Timing belt/water pump done at 150K documented
2 keyless remote start FOB's

No CEL or any warning lights while driving
Doesn't leak in the car wash
all electrical items work
giving me two sets of tires with EIGHT stock LS400 rims

non modded car in any way / bone stock.

asking under 5K

Any advice for a vehicle that has this kinda miles at this many owners and being used as a lease vehicle?

I have a 1991 before I loved. so this is a nice step up... anything to look out for would be great! I have searched and found various things depending on age/miles

Ready to pull the trigger

it sounds like a pretty good deal to me, I dont like black interiors in hot Texas, but it should be ok in Ohio. I think I would change all the fluids, and just be happy.

It does NOT have the HID headlights. so this is a pretty bare featured 98 LS. still more features than my loaded 91

it does have ugly looking wood trim that someone added on to the faceplate of the climate and audio units and vents and door handles I will be removing...yuck... it doesn't even match the Lexus woodgrain

I did a car fax and it is clean.

i think for $sub 5000 I am getting a good deal for a 98 LS....even if a few things need to be done

The passengers mirror will need to be replaced. and all the fluids.
that is mostly it.

Dashan, what do you mean it has been on the market for a while?

I'm driving up to see it tomorrow and get it checked at Midas or whatever to check it all out and buy it if the Lexus dealership he claimed the work was all done at can confirm it was all worked on there.

With that type of history it's likely that the motor mounts and tranny mount are shot and haven't been replaced. I replaced mine on my '99 LS with about 160k and it transformed the car back to showroom condition. I never realized how smooth that engine could be. Guaranteed to put a huge smile on your face.

here are the pictures in an imgur album

http://imgur.com/a/jOqea#10

I think the drivers seat will need some work with black shoe polish and I think I see the check engine light on but cannot be sure...he did say it did not have the engine check light on so I don't know...

it also looks like some paint is missing on the lower front bumper

thoughts? for $4500.

spend $120 at a lexus dealer to have it checked out (midas barely knows how to do the brakes on most cars...) and get them to plug it into a scanner to make sure the owner didnt just recently clear a CEL.

The car was listed for sale for some time.
I would ask a lot of Qs since the car already has 5 owners and the pics showed signs of an abused car.
