Default Urgent - how to remove UCF20 rear rotors?

Hey guys, i'm struggling with this car at the moment, trying to remove the rear rotors - calipers are off and the rotors have come off a couple of mm but they're stuck on the park brake somehow. Yes the park brake is off, and I've tried backing it off from the cable under the centre of the car - no luck. How do you get these rotors off?

Thanks!

you took the 2 screws out of the center of the hat? if so, and the parking brake is COMPLETELY off (ie-not jammed at all) then it will come off with a little mallet-type persuasion.

if you had the parking brake on when you parked the car and jacked it up it could be stuck a bit, try starting the car and putting the car in gear (carefully, it's on stands. no need to give it gas just get it to turn the rear wheels a bit) and you should break it free. 95% of the time you shouldn't need to do this.

cheers, I got it sorted. It needed the drum shoes backed off a bit using a flathead screwdriver thru the hole in the disc. The park brake was definitely backed right off and cables were slack, still needed this adjuster backed off. Weird.

Not really weird, we had to do the same thing to a 2000 LX470 SUV that had ruined the rotor. that little adjustment hole was put there for a purpose.... you done good, because I was just going to tell you about it...

PD, you might want to keep that in mind..

the adjustment is my last resort, usually i've been able to rotate the wheel a few times before taking the wheels off and it would all come right apart

And don't forget to readjust the adjuster after fitting the new rotor, turn it until the rotor just sticks then back off a notch or 2, then readjust the brake cables.
