Default Surprises when you purchase a car.

So guys, I just got a 97 Coach. Here's what I found when I pulled the trans dipstick

I was planning on doing the 2L flush every oil change... But I guess i'll do a flush, drive a mile, flush it again and repeat till it's all good....

My car broke down the day I bought it after I left the dealership 150 miles away from where I lived because of the fuel pump and filter:/

That's not to bad at this point, good that you can get it taken care of. One hates to pull a dipstick to find a burnt black mess. Do the rear differential fluid drain as well.

Well, I have a great story.

I got my LS400 last week. I bought tires at Tire Rack and drove over to a tire shop to have them mounted and balanced because Tire Rack was a few hours out on performing the job in-house.

After the car was done, the tire tech pulled me outside to ask me "How much you want?"

Apparently, the car smells/smelled like marijuana. He is the only one that badgered me to sell to him, but others told me it had a strong odor of the magic lettuce. Let me clarify that I was not smoking in the car, but someone before me did. I can't smell anything because of my allergies, so I really couldn't smell much when I bought the car.

It's not stinky anymore, but I have a feeling the owner's grandson who was driving the car at the time, was smoking pot in the car. The windows and moonroof had a nasty brown residue when I cleaned them off.

Oddly enough, I found a brand new Kidde fire extinguisher in the trunk. That will go great in my Celica.

you may wanna explain the situation to a cop friend and see if you can get them to run a drug dog through the car. that way if they find anything they'll take it rather than a few months/years from now when they pull you over and you get stuck with it...lol.

I'm with PD. I actually thought you were gonna say you wound up finding a hidden stash in the car, lol.
