Whenever I am driving heat coming from under the driverside, and also shift area and dash panel gets very hot.

Does anyone know why it happens and how to fix it?

Take a look under the car at the exhaust system, pay special attention to the heat shielding around the convertor. Good Luck

I hade changed the catalytic converter from the driver’s side a week ago, but I still have the same problem.

Heat is coming only from driver’s side.

i have a same problem with my es250. it's getting old, maybe...

however; my friends' 97 es300 has a same problem. not as much as mine.

i talk to one of toyota specialist and he said it's a common problem with es..
