Default i need help. sorry being a newb.

Alright so I have a 95'nice ls400 n im trying to take my cats off.... don't have money to replace or put pipe right now... my coworker said to hollow em out cus it got super red... this is a temp thing I kno its not that great for the car but I just need help on trying to take it off lol I have no idea where to start.. wet behind the ears n doing it by myself cus my coworker is a **** n don't wanna help/show. I've tried looking for video tutorial but can't find... any help is appreciated. Again sorry for the newborn post or if its not in correct thread er what not

this link should help you out i highly recommend doing it on a lift!!! heat up the pipe a little bit first and drench all the bolts with wd40 let it sit a bit than zap them ***** off xD

yeah that won't really work....

if they're getting red hot they're going to have to be replaced, but the fact they died means that something is making your car run rich (dead coil or similar).
