I currently drive a 1981 datsun 720 4x4. In one month I will have $5000 and will be buying a mid-90's LS400. Any advice would be much appreciated, such as what to look for to know if it is in great/good/bad condition.

When I buy my LS400 I will be fully modifying it. Within 6 months of purchasing it I will have custom exhaust, intake, turbo, removing resonators, lowered, tinted, 19's, 8" touch screen media device, and a few other things. Im on the grind, here I come.

Any performance modifications that would increase reliability or would not decrease that you have in mind would also be much appreciated.
