altenator+ power steering pump??? help asap
I'm tryna take the altenator out my car, it went out on me the other night and I'm trying to get it out. But the main issue is getting the power steering pump loose, and so far I got 3 bolts off and the pump is still not loose. Question is: how many bolts holds the Ps pump and how can I get it off?? The PS pulley has to clear to remove the altenator and I need help!!!
Thank you in advance!!!

did you even look to see if its the same layout? a lot of things are still the same, more or less, in each year.
from reading a little in that article it mentions 4 bolts to take off the psp, and in one of the pictures it says the other bolt is behind the psp... give it a look.

i just did mine sat, make sure you get the right 2 bolts on the back side. there are 2 that go from the mount to the block and 2 from the pump to the block. you want to take of the 2 facing the rear of the car, not the 2 facing the right fender. I ended up taking all 4 off, the manual says just 2 obviusely does not show which 2. then i just used a block of wood and tuning fork. put the block of on the front of the distributor and drop the ends of the tuning fork on the top of the pump. you don't need to push that hard. i took a thin sheet of metal and cut the width of the alt and made a splash guard for my alt. put in some spacers and used the wire mount screw holes. just in case it does not kill another alt.
This is my car they guy i bought it from wrote this up.

Samething..inside flashes outside nothing. I haven't checked all the fuses. I know if the bulbs go out, it'll tell me on my dash board. I'll check fuses tomorrow. I did check the fuses under the hood tho and those where fine.
