Default Need help with coilover fitment on 90' LS400

Looking to put coilovers on my 1990 LS400 and would like to use Megan Street LP or EZ Street coilovers. Megan has removed them from their website and only carry parts for 95+. I called Megan and was told that there were some compatibility issues with the 1st gen.

But i have seen posts that other users have put these coilovers on their 1st gen ls400's.
someone please clarify...

I haven't read about any changes to their coilover but I have a 90 LS and currently use those LPs Model: MR-CDK-LL91. Did you attempt to ask for further details on this change whilst on the phone?

Maybe someone else can chime in here...?

i'm in a reverse situation from you, i have 89-94 coilovers and plan to put them on my 97. to my knowledge all coilovers are the same from 90-00. at least this is how i've seen them cataloged. am i correct in this assumption?

no, wrong. i've explained it before so you can look up the reasons but basically you can use 89-94 coilovers on a 95-00 without issues (other than you can never get back to stock height with them) but you can NOT use 95-00 coilovers on an 89-94 without them blowing prematurely.

that's why the megans, which were made/tested on 89-94s will work on all LS 89-00.
